What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you create an online account with us, when you become a member, when you make an enquiry on the website and/or when you register for an event. This includes basic contact details (including but not limited to name, company, email address, telephone) as well as potentially some questions about the nature of your business with China.

This content can be accessed by our team in the China. Appropriate security measures are in place to ensure your data is secure.

Sensitive personal information is only collected and used for clearly stated business purposes with the full awareness and explicit consent of individuals.

 

Being a member

Our membership includes being kept informed (via email) of China business news, updates on the China business environment, business opportunities, information about government and business delegations, events and webinars, including some sponsored content. You may unsubscribe from this at any time by following the instructions in the email.

Further member correspondence may come from our event team about activities in a relevant sector or region, and from the membership team concerning membership status and renewal.

 

Participating in events

During event registration, delegates are asked to actively give consent for relevant contact details needed to inform the delegate about the details for that event (reminders, agendas, changes etc.).  Further consent will be sought for any issues beyond the scope of that event.

You may register for DCCC events using a third-party login, including the service provider Glue Up. By doing so, you are authorizing these third-party tools to transfer the personal information provided to them of name, email, organization, and title to DCCC. When identifying personal information of your name, email, and organization, these will be shared with the service provider Glue Up platform to verify your membership status for member-only events.

DCCC offers members and registrants opportunities to engage in services in public and online forums. Any actions you take in physical events or meetings, as well as online forums like LinkedIn and WeChat groups, are visible to other participants or online users. Any information that your participation or actions disclose becomes public, and DCCC assumes no responsibility for information revealed in that manner, or any subsequent solicitations if parties attempt to contact you based on information revealed in public or online.

For any events co-organised by DCCC and a 3rd party, during registration delegates will be informed as to which details will be shared with the 3rd party organisation and asked to actively give consent for their details to be shared in this way.

At some events there may be photography and/or filming. This will be included in the consent terms when registering for the event. This material may be used in event reports, articles and related marketing collateral.

 

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email mail@dccc.com.cn 

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.
